If you have never checked it out, on the TWIT site (This Week In Tech) they have a great podcast show for iPad Today. After watching several episodes I can recommend this as a great source of information, tips and tricks, reviews and suggestions for the iPad. This is hosted by Leo LaPorte of TechTV fame, if you watched that years ago, as well as his site TWIT, which on its own has lots and lots of resource material for all things tech, PC and Apple.
So check them out, their podcasts are free and you can also, for $0.99 you can buy their iPad application that houses all this goodness in one place, one simple app.

Dead Island is an under rated FPS adventure zombie game. This game is a fulfilling single player FPS. With minor RPS features of collecting weapons and a skill tree. The adventure aspect comes from the many missions you can choose from all the survivors on the island where you can earn experience, money or upgraded weapons. There is also a coop feature to play with up to 3 other friends.

Just started using Dropbox finally. Never thought I would have a use for this app or service till I got my IPad. This is one of the best ways to get photos viewed and downloaded to your device, as well as other types of files. Dropbox is free to sign up with a free 2GB of space, you can purchase more space if needed.
So setup an account online and then download the Dropbox app for IPad and start enjoying a great, easy to use online storage.

I am always looking for great new CSS code that is improvements on old HTML coding and that makes creating websites easier. My friend John sent me a link to a great site that has some great code for a simple CSS3 Lightbox. No need for javascript or anything else crazy, just simple and easy to apply.
At this point the only drawback is that it is not supported by Internet Explorer till IE9 and it may have some issues there, but then whats new when it comes to a bad Microsoft browser that doesn’t meet todays W3C standards like the other browsers out there. I have tested this functionality in Firefox4, Safari5 and Opera11 and it works great.

One of the longest running mods for the original Half-Life video game, CounterStrike defined a generation of first person shooter games. Even today many still play this game with the same enjoyment they did so many years ago. Now it looks like CounterStrike will get a face lift, new maps and possibly a few adjustments in game play with some new game play modes, but from first looks the enjoyment of the original will stay intact.

Ubisoft is soon to release the new pc game “From Dust”, an adventure\simulation world creation game. You play the creator of a world that is growing and changing as the world grows. You shape the destiny of a primitive tribe of people protecting them from Tsunami’s, fire, volcano’s and more. In the game you can manipulate the land, the sea and fire. There are many campaign style scenarios to play through where time is important or even a sandbox type environment where you can play and experiment.
You can pick up “From Dust” starting on August 17th. It is available through Steam for $15, not a bad price to play so check it out!

Testing out a mobile blogging tool, BlogWriter for the iPhone. It is not feature rich but seems simple to use. So far posting a text blog appears to work well. One other drawback seems to be that you can’t edit your post from BlogWriter after you submit it. This is a big deal since I can edit from my pc at home. All in all seems to work fine for the free version. Check it out in the App store, Blog Writer Lite…
